The ASA statement on use and misuse of p-values

“Alpha = 0.05.” Remember that from your college stats class? While it may have been easy to remember (and teach), it isn’t quite accurate or useful. The American Statistical Association this week released a statement on the proper use of p-value in effective decision making. Hopefully, it will inspire more conversation on effective research and decision-making.
